We invite both students doing internships at graduate studies (graduate studies in informatics and economics of entrepreneurship), as well as students at professional studies to apply for our Factory X Summer Internship, which will take place over 4 working weeks with a total duration of 160 hours, from June 24th to July 19th, 2024. (Application deadline is June 20th.)
Purpose of Internship
The purpose and goal of internship, that is, working with students, is to familiarize them with the company’s work, the technologies used, and the work approach by working on a sample project for business process automation and employee support.
Subject of the Internship
The subject of the internship is the creation of an internal project on Microsoft’s platform for developing full-stack web applications – Blazor, and using Visual Studio as a development tool.
As part of the project, students will have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the technology stack that the company finds interesting, such as Microsoft .NET, the C# language, frontend technologies, and agile software development methodologies. Through their work, they will also have the chance to learn about general work approaches and software best practices, such as writing good code, testing, and DevOps. They will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the MS Azure cloud provider and work with the Azure DevOps system for complete code integration and dissemination, as well as with Git and the task management system offered by Azure DevOps.
Work Plan
The goal of the project is to provide a representative segment of a real project, where employees participate – each contributing through their specific role. Therefore, the mentor will guide the students through various roles involved in the project, thus completing the entire envisioned project from its planning, design, implementation, testing, to delivery.
Particularities of the Internship Scope
Given the planned scope of the internship lasting 160 working hours, regardless of whether it is a professional study – with an obligatory internship duration of 120 hours or a graduate study – with an internship duration of 160 hours, it has been decided that the internship will be conducted over four consecutive working weeks in the summer months. This is to ensure that students can get the maximum training during the internship and that their learning is not interrupted during the summer period.
We aim to encourage students to actively participate in the work and to engage in independent learning through interesting challenges. The mentor is there to organize, plan, and execute each working day productively, ensuring that students gain as much benefit as possible from the practical part of the training.
